By understanding the nature of God, his sovereignty over all things, especially in salvation, we gain the proper perspective on who we are and how we are to relate to God. He is Lord and Sovereign; we are creature and servants. The doctrines of grace give us the promise and the assurance that all things are in God’s hand and we who believe and trust in Jesus as Savior and Lord are trusted stewards of all that a gracious and merciful God chooses to entrust to us.
