Observance of the Lord’s Supper this Sunday. Please use this weekend to examine yourself and your relationships with others according to 1 Corinthians 11:27-33, that we may together brightly reflect the unity of the body of Christ when we come together at the Lord’s table this Sunday.

Welcome New Members: May the Lord grant us to walk in close covenant community with Madysen Stewart who was received into membership at the September members’ meeting pending her baptism this Sunday, September 17. A current membership list can be downloaded here.

Membership Matters New Members Class: Sundays, September 3 – October 8, 9:15-10:15 a.m., in the Education Building. Membership Matters will provide you with information about Redeemer, as well as answer questions about what it means to be a believer in Christ. You will also have an opportunity to learn about how to get involved in our community of faith. Though this course is a prerequisite for membership at Redeemer, anyone can and is encouraged to attend. Sign up on The City.

Women’s Mentoring Ministry: Women Encouraging Women would like to invite all ladies of Redeemer to join our mentoring ministry. If you are already participating in this ministry and want to shuffle to a different group for a quarter (October – December) or if you are interested in joining for the first time, please fill out a yellow form located in the foyer by Sunday, September 17. For more information contact Dawn Isbell or Sheri Hare on The City.

Wedding Shower for Russell Powell & Madysen Stewart: Sunday, September 17, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., in Fellowship Hall. Join us as we celebrate the upcoming marriage of Russell & Madysen. All are invited! Hosted by the Central Care Group. The couple is registered at Target and Pampered Chef.

Hold the Rope Fellowship: Wednesday, September 20, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., in Fellowship Hall. Bring the whole family as we celebrate God’s mission of proclaiming the good news of Christ to the nations.

Singles Fellowship: Friday, September 22, 6:00 p.m., at the Hare home (308 Cahill Oval, River Oaks, TX 76114). All Redeemer Church singles (college age and up) are invited. Contact Sheri Hare for more information.

Welcome Fall Picnic: Sunday, September 24, noon – 4:00 p.m., at Central Park. Join us as we welcome the arrival of fall and enjoy a time of fellowship together. The picnic will begin shortly following the morning worship gathering and end when you’ve had your fill of food, fun, and fellowship. Burgers, hot dogs, and drinks will be served on a pay-what-you-can basis. Consider bringing a dessert to share. There will be a bounce house and games for children as well as organized softball games.

Fall Children’s Choir: Mondays, 4:00 – 5:00 p.m., upstairs in the Education Building. Children, ages 5-12, are invited to have fun learning about music while preparing songs for the worship service. We are looking for additional adult volunteers to help out this year. If you’d like to volunteer or have questions about the choir, please contact Adrian Maddox.

Women’s Fall Bible Study: Mondays, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., September 11 – December 4, in the conference room at Redeemer Church. Ladies, come explore the encouraging vision from Titus 2 using Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth’s book, “Adorned: Living out the Beauty of the Gospel Together.” We will study one of God’s good and beautiful plans for discipleship — woman to woman, older and younger, side by side, and life to life. Contact Linda Huffman to reserve a book.

Fall Ladies’ Retreat: Friday, October 20, 6:00 p.m. – Saturday, October 21, 8:00 p.m., at Redeemer Church. The theme of our retreat is None Like Him: The God of No Limits. Join us for teaching led by Sylvia Dipnarinesingh and Donna Dean, worshipful music and testimonies, as well as good food, opportunities for small group and one-on-one fellowship, crafts, and other activities. Overnight accommodations will be available in the education building of the church. Registration is $45, includes 4 meals, craft activity, and resource book, None Like Him by Jen Wilkin. Place a $20 deposit and receive the book immediately.

Servants Needed: The nursery ministry will be beginning a new quarter of scheduling. As always, we are in need of servant-hearted members willing to love and care for our youngest children. If you have a child in the nursery, please make sure you are on the rotation. Even if you don’t have small children, please consider serving as a way to build up the health of our whole body as we show small children Jesus’ love and free up parents to worship and feast on the Word. The application is here. Please contact Rachel Rogers with any questions.
