Redeemer Church eNews - February 10, 2017

Women Encouraging Women Fellowship | Come! See Jesus! Tonight, Friday, February 10, from 7:00-9:00 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall. Ladies, please join us for an evening of encouragement as we learn to see Jesus for who He really is and let that stir our hearts to worship. Dessert will be served.

Ladies’ Craft Fellowship: Saturday, February 11, 9:00 a.m. – noon, in Fellowship Hall.

February Sack Lunch Members Meeting: This Sunday, February 12, 12:45 – 2:15 p.m., (or beginning 45 minutes following the close of the worship gathering) in Fellowship Hall. See event here.

Parents Night Out Childcare: Friday, February 17, at the Redeemer Church campus. Redeemer parents, enjoy a evening out while your kids play at the church. Drop-off begins at 6:30 p.m. Bring your child’s dinner—to be served at 7:00 p.m. If you arrive later than 7:00 p.m. we ask that you feed your child before arrival. Additional snacks will be provided. Pickup no later than 10:00 p.m. Must RSVP by February 15. Additional childcare volunteers are needed. Questions? Destin Trojacek or Sylvia Dipnarinsingh.

Membership Matters Class: Sundays, January 22 – February 26, 9:15 – 10:15 a.m., in the Education Building. Membership Matters will provide you with information about Redeemer, as well as answer questions about what it means to be a believer in Christ. You will also have opportunity to learn about how to get involved in our community of faith. Though this course is a prerequisite for membership at Redeemer, anyone can and is encouraged to attend. Sign up online.

Prayer for Parents with New Children: Next Sunday, February 19, the elders would like to set aside a time at the beginning of corporate worship to pray for parents with new children. Whether by birth or adoption, the Lord has given us a number of new blessings over the past year, and we want to recognize our responsibility as a church to serve one another in shepherding these young souls and to pray for God’s grace to sustain us in gospel ministry to them. Because of the dual nature of this prayer time (i.e., parents’ commitment to the church and the church’s commitment to parents), we believe these commitments can only be meaningfully made in the context of church membership. So, if you are a member with new children, please let us know of your desire to participate by Thursday, February 16, by messaging Gary Brumley. If you’re not yet a member, please know that future opportunities will come for you and your child(ren). No age limit.

Ministry Spotlight | Pregnancy Help Center: Sunday, February 19, following the service, in Fellowship Hall. Delana Brooks, Executive Director of the PHC, will be presenting an update on the ministry of the PHC. Everyone, bring a brown bag lunch and learn more about the ministry and how God is using PHC to serve women and protect children in Fort Worth.

Women’s Bible Study: Mondays, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Any ladies interested in joining the study of the book of Hebrews / Hoping for Something Better by Nancy Guthrie can see Linda Huffman briefly after church in the Book Nook.
